About Team App Dev
Team App Dev is a small, independent software studio focused entirely on system utility applications for Android. We have been building tools that extend and improve the core functionality of mobile devices since the early days of the Android ecosystem.
Our catalogue includes flashlight controllers, battery monitoring tools, compass utilities and device optimisers — each one designed to do a single job reliably, with the smallest possible footprint on your device.
Our approach
Most utility apps are overbuilt. They request dozens of permissions, run background services, display intrusive advertising, and consume far more resources than the task warrants. We take the opposite approach.
Every Team App Dev application is built with a strict set of constraints: the smallest possible download size, the fewest necessary permissions, instant launch time, and no persistent background processes. When you close one of our apps, it is genuinely closed — not lurking in the background draining your battery.
We achieve this by working close to the hardware. Rather than relying on generic abstractions, we optimise for specific device families — Samsung Galaxy, LG K-series, Huawei, Xiaomi — ensuring that LED drivers, sensor APIs and power management features are used to their full potential.
Why system utilities matter
The flashlight on your phone is something you reach for in the dark. The battery indicator is something you glance at when you are worried about making it through the day. A compass is something you need when you are lost. These are not entertainment apps. They are tools — and tools need to be instant, dependable and trustworthy.
